The poor guy is now so scared of the police he says they didn't beat him and were actually helping him after protesters beat him. But the video clearly shows Hamada Saber being hit, kicked and dragged down the road by police officers. His clothes disappeared at some point during this process…and there were no protesters in sight. (If you're outside New Zealand, can you see this TVNZ video?)http://www.twitpic.com/c0rcr5

#union #iww #ows #p2 #tlot #tcot Europe, Tunisia and Egypt: Women's Words http://www.dw.de/europe-tunisia-and-egypt-womens-words/a-6578610 Many women played leading roles in the massive protests that swept through the Egypt and Tunisia. And those women are now calling on their Muslim sisters in Europe to take up the cause of emancipation, too. The revolutions in the Arab world brought about widespread political and social change – including the role of women. Female activists, both with and without headscarves, joined hands with their male counterparts to rally and protest. Through blogs, they relentlessly fought to expose torture and poor leadership, hoping in part to reach the eyes and ears of women in Europe, too. They want women in countries like Germany an…http://www.twitpic.com/bkxmpr

#union #iww #ows #p2 #tlot #tcot Mauritania: Press the February 25 Movement: “No to the guardianship .. Yes to partnership http://atunisiangirl.blogspot.com/2012/11/mauritanie-communique-du-mouvement-25.html TRANSLATED FROM FRENCH BY GOOGLE TRANSLATOR French colonization took formally end in Mauritania for 52 years. However, the independence of the country remained incomplete due to internal factors, relating to the youth of the new state and its weak structures, and external factors arising from the guardianship of France continued to carry on its former colonies . In its release of 25 February 2011, the Mauritanian youth inaugurated a new era in the country's history, characterized by a growth of popular demand real change mode of governance of the state. Thus, new groups of young people are regularly coming on the scene of protest political and social groups while claiming compensation for injustices are increasingly their voices, as well as national forces aspiring to freedom and democracy. A few days before the 52nd anniversary of independence, we, of 25 February Movement, considering the regularity of the interference in the internal affairs French and Mauritanian consequences, particularly in the context facing the country today , announce the launch of a campaign against foreign tutelage. Throughout this campaign, we want to send to the authorities and to the French public, the following messages: – The determination of Mauritanian youth to fight dictatorship son of the country and, a fortiori, foreign tutelage; – Our aspiration, despite the colonial past in relations with France confident, based on a partnership that safeguard the interests of both peoples – We respect and welcome support shown by France in respect of choice of the people of our region have raised tale dictatorship (Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, Libya, Syria, …) and had seen the error of judgment that the led it to support the Tunisian dictatorship was sufficient for it to understand it is now impossible to thwart the will of a people who yearn for freedom – We welcomed the statement a few weeks ago to Dakar , Mr François Hollande that the era of the France-Africa is over, with great satisfaction, and even more that our country had suffered greatly because of his contribution to the success of the coup 2008 General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz; – The French Revolution of 1789, which changed the course of world history was that of a people who longed for justice, freedom and equality. Other people have the right to work to achieve the same lofty goals and history will be those who sided with the legitimate aspirations of the people and those who are leagued against them by supporting dictatorial regimes; – The realization of aspirations of Mauritanian youth is inevitable because they reflect the will of the people and history is written today in Mauritania as it is written in our region and the Arab and African writing makes bygone era of guardianship as foreign that of a dictatorship. messages are those of the citizen who refuses foreign tutelage and Mauritania who aspires to a free, democratic and egalitarian. We call Mauritanian youth and all the forces of the country to work their dissemination
